Cromaine District Library

Cromaine District Library serves residents and visitors of Hartland, Brighton, and the townships of Deerfield, Genoa, Oceola, and Tyrone. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and high-quality service, Cromaine has earned both state and national recognition for its innovative programs and community-focused services.

The library offers a robust calendar of cultural, educational, and enrichment programming, including concerts, art lectures and classes, book clubs, maker space labs, and a wide variety of camps and classes for all ages, from babies and preschoolers to tweens, teens, and adults.

In addition to its dynamic programming, Cromaine provides access to a collection of nearly 100,000 items, including books on CD, e-books, DVDs, music CDs, large-print books, magazines, newspapers, and extensive digital resources available to cardholders. Cromaine also helps maintain the historic Hartland Music Hall, which serves as a hub for entertainment, performances, and community events and is available for reservation.

Through the TLN Shared Catalog, cardholders can access more than 1.2 million items from libraries across southeastern Michigan, with materials delivered to Cromaine five days a week.
